As a child I was always sketching and I went on to study graphics at Central. I didn't come from an arty family
and it seemed the right choice to make if I wanted to make a living.
I started oil painting after having my 3 sons because I wanted to capture them in paintings. I only discovered
the painters that I truly admire like Sorolla, Fetchin and others later, and it's been an incredible journey. I'm
self taught through the internet, generousity of artist friends, but most of all, practice.
I paint in oils and watercolour, and I accept commissions. I still keep a sketch book with me for random
sketching and practice too. Life is varied and so are the subjects I choose.
The paintings below are mostly recent 10" x 12", plein air studies.
